I've seen this done on another meteora, but a neck swap for a fender subsonic (27 baritone) looks perfect with the meteora body. I think the pups record. You might swap a 5v4 in place of a 5y3 if you're looking for increased supply voltage (verify the filter caps can handle it)
The 5y3 might have been selected because the power drawn by the amp sits below its limits
However if you're swapping out a 5u4, the amp's power draw is likely greater than what the 5y3/5v4 can handle. The bottom end is a tad tighter, and the high end is not quite as bright I love it, and won't ever swap it Not exactly a versatile pickup, but that's what my other guitars are for

This was recorded using an rga with fusion edge pups straight into, get ready for it, a fender passport mini I close mic'd with a zoom h2 in front of the passport, uploaded the track into my daw and sync'd it to a good copy of the jam track
